Dov Citron is a family entertainer, actor, poet and children's book author … and Guinness World Record holder!
Born in Edgware near London, Dov studied Performing Arts at Amersham and Wycombe College, before gaining a BA Hons Degree in Theatre at Leeds University in 1999. Dov worked for Thomson Holidays and Lively Arts, as both a hotel entertainer and an actor, before working in television and theatre.
Dov is probably best known as Captain Calamity, a character he created in 2007 for children's parties, and now the star of his own YouTube channel featuring The Captain Calamity Adventures. Aimed a children, and also available through YouTube Kids, it features bright, engaging and educational videos, including read-aloud stories, with a big emphasis on fun, that are highly entertaining, and cover a huge range of subjects including interactive games, bubbleology, science tricks, and puppetry, to name just a few.

As well as creating around 250 videos for YouTube, Captain Calamity, along with fellow entertainer Colonel Custard, is the proud holder of the 2017 Guinness World Record for the most shaving pies thrown in one minute.
