Say 'Hello' to Alice …

Alice and the Aspiesaur species are the fictional creations of Lucy Martin. Drawing on personal experience of autistic spectrum disorder, and wanting to provide children with a positive message about autism, Lucy combined her love of art and creative writing with a first-class degree with honours in Zoology, creating Alice, and the Aspiesaur species, to be a literary 'avatar' that ASD children can directly relate to.

Different is good and Helping a Friend are Lucy's first books in a series of heart-warming illustrated tales for children, and featuring Alice the Aspiesaurus, a young autistic dinosaur. Highly relevant and helpful to children with autism, the books explore the emotions and feelings they may experience, aiming to help autistic kids understand why they may feel different via stories that any child can relate to, and to understand that 'different is good.'
